Boxcab Electric

 Box Cab electric locomotiveclick on image for larger view The Boxcab has two Commonwealth trucks each powered by two 12 volt DC permanent magnet 3000 RPM 1/3 hp motors. Two controllers are M-Ued together, each controller runs one power truck. It uses gears to drive the wheels. Construction is all metal except for decorative hard wood end stills. Hand held control box contains a rotating speed control knob, on/off switch, forward/reverse switch, horn button, and bell switch.

Available as Ready To Run (RTR) or in Kits as noted below.

Super Mack

 Super Mac locomotive
click on image for larger view.		 The Super Mack is a low cost, easy to build, battery powered 1 1/2" scale locomotive. Based on a prototype built in 1921 by the Mack Truck company. The Super Mack can pull 2 cars up to 3 adults up a 3% + grade. The short wheel base permits operation on sharp radius curves. It is ideal for the layout in a small backyard.

Centercab Diesel 12 volt 8 wheel Locomotive

The Centercab Diesel is a freelance model of a typical 1930’s locomotive that could have serviced numerous railroads through out the United States.

Construction is all metal. The chassis floor is 3/16 plate steel. Chassis is all welded using 1” x 2” center tube frame with 1⁄2 x 2” bar for body bolsters and 1 1⁄2” angle for the chassis floor sub-assembly. Cab, roof and end sills are aluminum castings for greater detail. Cab hoods are welded 16 ga. steel with two bolt on steel smoke stacks & two bolt on steel old time headlights. Also two front and four top radiator grills and frames are welded steel, bolted on one piece assemblies. All parts can be removed for individual painting.

All four axles powered by four brush 1/3 HP 3000 RPM permanent magnet motors. Each motor is geared to an axle through an enclosed gear box.
